Raw Bath-Time Ritual

I hope that this year is magical for you in every way! I have kick-started my New Year's Resolutions with a run round the park, and I am feeling energised and excited about the year ahead.

After all of the festivities, over-indulgences of every kind can make January seem rather dull in comparison, as treats are the first thing that to be banned in every New Year's Resolution. Over the coming weeks, I want to show you how you can enjoy decadent and guilt-free indulgences that you can treat yourself to every day. In this issue, I show you how a bath-time ritual with raw and natural skin care products is the perfect little luxury to get you through the cold and dark winter months....Enjoy!


There are many raw treats that can make bath-time rituals luxurious and indulgent. What better way to relax on a cold January evening after all of the frantic festivities? Here are my tips for a relaxing and sensual bath time.....

Set the right atmosphere

Turn down the lights, or light some candles infused with essential oils. Add a few drops of essential oils to your bath water such as lavender or rose. Crabtree & Evelyn also make a relaxing essential oil blend that smells gorgeous and that does not have any harmful chemicals.

A few drops of 'Love Rainbow Essence' can create the perfect atmosphere in an instant. These essences are a new generation of flower and crystal essences and Love Essence strengthens the heart chakra.


Bath Oils & Salts

I love Raw Gaia's 'Raw Chocolate Orange Bath Melt' with sweet orange essential oil. A few drops of cold-pressed sweet almond oil can also soften your bath water. I always add Braham & Murray cold-pressed hemp oil to my bath for extra nutrition that is absorbed through my skin.

A handful of himalayan pink salt or sea salt is perfect for a detoxifying scrub.


Moisturisers

I love to use raw coconut oil, especially the Biona brand as it is very economical and it is also great as a hair mask. However, raw cacao butter is my favourite moisturiser, and I love using it as a massage bar after a bath. It is a very rich and thick moisturiser which makes it perfect for a dark and cold evening. If you're anything like me, you will be tempted to lick it off your skin!
